History In October 1991, a campaign to purchase, renovate and develop Ozark Conference Center, "A Place Called Home", began. God granted great success. In August 1993, the dedication of a beautiful facility with 305 acres atop Jenkins Mountain in Solgohachia, Arkansas was held. An additional 18.75 acres with a 5,000 square foot building was added to the facility in January 1995. This has opened the door to a fuller, broader ministry opportunity to reach others for Christ. In the early years, Ozark Conferences sponsored ten to twelve conferences, workshops, retreats and luncheons each year in facilities throughout Arkansas. Once a permanent home for the ministry was established, those events took place on the mountain, and over 5,400 people from throughout Arkansas and surrounding states have been served annually. Currently, Ozark Conference Center is hosting twenty-four scheduled events, over one hundred groups and seventy-five ministry guests each year. Ozark Conference Center is a member in good standing with the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA) and Christian Camping International (CCI).
