Welcome to Ozark Conference Center

Lodge

Ozark Conference Center is a full-service, interdenominational adult conference center that places special emphasis on camping for children and youth. Ozark is located on 325 acres atop Jenkins Mountain in Solgohachia, Arkansas. Solgohachia has a Native American heritage since it was one of the stopping places on the "Trail of Tears" and there are several legends about the origin of the name. Some say the name comes from a Native American name meaning "a hole in the mountain" while others think the town was named for a favorite warrior of the Cherokee tribe named Sol, who was unusually good with his hatchet. Whatever the name or history, after many years as a nomadic ministry, God led the founders and leaders of Ozark Conference Center to a home on one of the most beautiful mountaintops in Arkansas. The panoramic view welcomes you as you top the mountain.  The lodges, villas, and cabins provide a warm, restful atmosphere for your time away from the busyness of life.

Employment Opportunities

The Camp Director of OCC’s Camp Solgohachia is now taking inquiries about employment for the 2010 summer camp season. Summer camp involves 1 ½ to 2 weeks of mandatory staff training and a full or partial summer commitment to work and live on the property. We are looking for energetic, athletic people between 18-28 who love the Lord when no one else is looking, who want to wake up and choose to walk through the day in the Spirit rather than the flesh, and who can go-go-go from 7:30 AM to 11 PM every day of the summer. Weekends are generally off, with a few exceptions. These staff members need to be adaptable as they will live together in dorms for the summer with little privacy. Part of the salary includes room and board.
