SOLGOHACHIA, AR. (June 7, 2009) – Ozark Conference Center and Pardoned Ministries proudly presents an evening with Hee Haw's LuLu Roman and Pardoned. Ozark Conference Center and Pardoned Ministries are hosting the 3rd annual Gospel Night at the Rialto Theater in downtown Morrilton Thursday, June 25. The event will feature the Dove Award artist LuLu Roman from the long running syndicated hit television show Hee Haw. LuLu was inducted into the Country Gospel Music Hall of Fame in 1999 and performed on the Gaither Homecoming videos. She also won the JD Sumner Living Legend Award and appeared on the final episode of Touched by an Angel. Roman has appeared at the Grand Old Opry and Roy Acuff Theater in Nashville. Her sidesplitting humor, music and personal testimony of being an orphan and overcoming years of personal conflict will touch and embrace every person in the audience.
Also performing will be the award winning southern gospel trio Pardoned from Sheridan, Arkansas. This dynamic trio ministers through music all over the United States. The group has appeared on TBN with Jeanne Caldwell’s, In His Presence. They won a top five nomination in the category of New Excelling Artist at the Gospel Music Fanfair Awards and were Arkansas’ Gospel Heritage Group of the year in 2008. They also won a national talent search hosted by online gospel music magazine www.SOGOSPELNEWS.com. Pardoned is regularly featured on the Arkansas Queen Cruises in Little Rock. Terry Dorsey of Free Spirit talent agency will also perform at Gospel Night and Mark Little of TML Sound in Whitehall, Arkansas will be the master of ceremonies.

SOLGOHACHIA, AR. (March 30, 2009) - 40 youth and adults from Siloam Springs Bible Church volunteered their time and talents over spring break, March 13-17, to assist with specialized needs at Ozark Conference Center. Each year during spring break, the youth group provides assistance at local camps and conference centers in the United States and internationally. While at Ozark, the groups focused on the clearing of property at Lake Gowaffa in Ozark Village and at Sunset Point overlook.

SOLGOHACHIA, ARK. (March 30, 2009) - Lori Rodgers has accepted the position of Programs Director at Ozark Conference Center. Rodgers will be responsible for children's, youth, and adult programming while also directing Camp Solgohachia, an open enrollment summer camp sponsored by Ozark Conference Center. Rodgers comes to Ozark after 16 years with "The Sky's the Limit" Day Camp in Denver Colorado. Prior to that, she was affiliated with Young Life, Kanakuk Kamps in Missouri, and K-Life Ministries.
Ms. Rodgers grew up in Little Rock where she attended Mount St. Mary Academy. Upon graduation, she attended the University of Arkansas Fayetteville where she obtained a degree in secondary education. Rodgers also holds a masters degree in counseling psychology/counselor education from the University of Denver.
Rodgers professional background includes several years of teaching high school, including alternative school for urban youth in Denver. She also worked as mental health therapist specializing in teen and women's issues, with a special heart for the homeless and low-income populations. In addition, Rodgers worked in career placement and designed a training manual on workforce skills for at-risk youth. She has also taught psychology and human development classes in Denver. Rodgers enjoys speaking at churches and youth events on the topics of body image issues and matters of spiritual growth that involve counseling.
SOLGOHACHIA, ARKANSAS - 54 children and youth from Arkansas and neighboring states attended the first open enrollment Ozark Conference Center sponsored resident camp June 15-20.
The theme for the week was Run the Race of Life. While attending camp, the children and youth had the opportunity to participate in and become proficient in archery, riflery, kayaking, and cheerleading while also enjoying horseback riding, hiking to the waterfall, paddleboats, canoes, swimming, the scream swing, zip line, kick ball and volleyball. The outstanding campers for the week were Craig Carter and Ashton Kremer.
Due to the great response Ozark will offer three camps in 2009. The dates are June 14-19, 21-26 and July 12-17.

SOLGOHACHIA, ARKANSAS - The 64th Annual Arkansas Hospitality Association Trade Show and related events were held September 16-18. This year's trade show hosted many special events including two exciting culinary competitions.
The Fifth Annual Arkansas Chefs' Culinary Classic Competition was held Tuesday September 16 at 6:30pm at the Statehouse Convention Center. The competition allowed event attendees to sample some of Arkansas's finest chefs' scrumptious entries as they competed in soup/salad, appetizer, dessert, and entrée categories. Executive Chef Adam Hanry of Ozark Conference Center came in first with his Reconstructed Caesar Salad and was voted Best of Show and received the Peoples Choice Award for his Pumpkin Crème Brulee. Hanry won first place in 2007 for his Moon Pie dessert.

SOLGOHACHIA, ARKANSAS - Ozark Conference Center of Solgohachia, Arkansas, will host an Adult Bible Conference on February 27-March 1, 2009. The speaker for this event will be Dr. Earl Radmacher. Dr. Radmacher has spent his life teaching people how to develop a closer walk with God through a fuller knowledge of Him. He is currently doing just that as he travels the world speaking at many conferences. He logs more miles in a year than most do in a lifetime. Dr. Radmacher received his BA and MA degrees from Dallas Theological Seminary. He went on to serve for 34 years as an administrator, professor, and President of Western Baptist Seminary in Portland, Oregon. He is presently the President Emeritus of Western Baptist Seminary.
Besides the NIV Reconsidered, Dr. Radmacher is recognized for his works on inerrancy and, in particular, for his works, Can We Trust The Bible? and as the editor of Hermeneutics, Inerrancy and The Bible. In addition, he has written a book on The Nature of the Church, and served as the General Editor of The Nelson Study Bible.
